Class 4410: Management and Leadership
This assignment on critical thinking helped me identify that compassion is the starting point of critical thinking. The nurse must have the ability to be compassionate in work. Having the ability to focus on others, not self , takes great humility and compassion. To love someone else more than yourself and to devote your life to your patients like nurses and other healthcare professions do, demonstrates compassion.
Domain 5: Quality and Safety  Descriptor: “Employment of established and emerging principles of safety and improvement science. Quality and safety, as core values of nursing practice, enhance quality and minimize risk of harm to patients and providers through both system effectiveness and individual performance” (AACN, 2021).
Nursing 1102: Early Christianity.
In order to deliver quality and safety in nursing practice, the practitioner needs to be grounded and emotionally stable. The nurse is expected to have an even keel when dealing with all patients. The Puzzle paper helped me understand that divisions among people are as old as earth. Nurses must be cognicent to their own life experience and try to be a blank slate for each person who comes seeking healthcare.
Class 4330, Community Health Nursing, provided an opportunity to research resources for people needing assistance. The field of nursing is known for providing quality and safe information to the patient. Exploring resources from credible sites has given me confidence in my nursing practice.
